Bakugan Toys

What Are Bakugan?

In 2007, the Japanese animated adventure series, Bakugan Battle Brawlers, was first introduced to the anime fans of Japan. With the help of the Cartoon Network, the following year Bakugan would make its way into the North American continent. With the help of Sega Toys as well as Spin Master, the strategic RPG game of Bakugan was introduced to the North American continent. This trading card game was new and very interesting as it made use of metal rather then cardboard trading cards; along with magnetic spring-loaded figurines.

As the series went on, the demand and popularity of the Bakugan trading card game grew and grew. The reason for this was actually quite simple. While the other anime shows were simply spinning of simple and bland trading card games, Bakugan added an exciting twist through the use of metal cards and of course the Bakugan Balls.

In playing the game, it is your goal to capture three of your opponent’s gate cards. The spring loaded Bakugan monsters are then rolled onto the playing field until they spring open on a gate card. This is what initiates the actual battle. From there, you still have more of the traditional cards such as trap cards and summoning cards and the like. However, their use is also slightly different then your average game which just adds to the excitement of playing Bakugan.

Unlike the other games out there today, Bakugan can be played by up to four people at the same time. In playing it in four-player mode, instead of dealing with 3 gate cards, the field will have 6 gate cards that need to be captured.

Because of the popularity of the game, there have been a number of cool accessories developed for the Bakugan fan in anyone. There are many different spring loaded Bakugan characters available as well as Bakugan Gauntlets, launchers, special game play mats, battle arenas, maxus and meta Bakugan and so much more.

As with any form of toy, there is also the collectible aspect and when it comes to Bakugan, the collections are in the spring loaded characters. Some of these balls have become so are, that they actually fetch a high price tag on auction sites like E-Bay.

On top of all of that, there is now even a Bakugan video game available for all of the major game consoles including Nintendo, Sony as well as X-Box and others. The international toy industry which monitors toys, their popularity as well as sales have already chosen to call the Bakugan toys some of the most popular and hottest toys of 2009. It seems like no one can get enough of the cool and exciting Japanese anime and magna shows that are available on television and as each new one is made available, along with it comes an exciting array of interesting and unique toys, games and more.
