How To Win L5R

Legend of the Five Rings, or L5R, is a card game based in Rokugan (stylized Japan).  Players employ various personalities (‘creatures’ in Magic parlance) to fulfill one of the game’s winning conditions that best suits their chosen clan:
•    Military Victory by destroying your opponent’s provinces (their ‘home bases’)
•    Honor Victory by gaining 40 Honor (the ’life’ of your clan)
•    Dishonor Victory by causing your opponent to drop to -20 Honor
•    Enlightenment Victory by bringing the titular five rings into play through special means (You become ‘one with everything’.  This is trickier than it sounds… much like real enlightenment.)

L5R RPG Game Play

This game is played with one person acting as the game master. The game master determines the problem of the game and the remaining players have to use their character’s special abilities and skills to come up with a solution to the problem. As a result, this particular RP does not have to be based on the old fashioned hack and slash, but can even be an adventure in which no actual battles ever occur; it is determined by the game master.

The first year, L5R RP won the Origins Award as it was considered to be one of the best RPG games ever. The following years, it has consistently won one award after another. In the land of Rokugan, not only is there the basis for feudal Japan influencing the game play, but there is also magic and mythological beasts as well. There are 8 Great Clans in the game, of which each one has its own unique and interesting capabilities and skills.

Each player starts of with an L5R deck which is composed of 40 cards; in the old version one only started off with 30 L5R cards in their deck. L5R Gameplay

Because of the ever evolving storyline of Rokugan, the fictional location for which the game is played, there is almost a weekly update to the game. The game itself is actually controlled by the players and their actions during sanctioned tournaments. It has won a number of awards and accolades since it creation which has made it one of the most popular trading card games today.

There are many ways in which one can be determined the victor of a game. It is a fun and exciting game which changes constantly. You can sit down with your friends to play and be busy for hours on end trying to decide who will eventually become victorious.

So if you are thinking about playing a trading card game and want one that never gets boring because it is constantly evolving, then the Legend of the Five Rings is a definite must for just about anyone. What Are The Best Naruto Cards?

Sure, every card contains a small parallel hologram on them, but only the super rare cards are fully holographic and also the only cards that come in gold. These packs when found are often thicker and heavier then the rest for the simple fact that the holographic card uses more material in order to construct it.

Furthermore, in every single Naruto starter deck, you will also get a very rare card in them. While these are not technically considered to be Naruto super rare cards, they are up there with regards to their power levels. These cards in effect are basically rares in which every starter deck contains several of them and every single booster pack contains one; that is unless the booster pack contains a Naruto super rare card, then it will not have a rare.

So what is the best way of getting your hands on these Naruto super rare cards? Well, if you are purchasing them locally you can try measuring the thickness or even feeling for the added weight. It will not be a lot, but if your hands are sensitive you may be able to tell them apart from the other booster packs. However, to be fair, the only way to truly get your hands on the Naruto super rare cards is to purchase them 12 packs at a time. This way you should end up with at least one super rare in every batch.

What Comes In A Naruto Booster Pack?

In roughly one out of every 12 packs, a super rare Parallel Holographic card is included. However, each booster pack by itself comes complete with 6 of the common Naruto trading cards, 2 of the uncommon cards as well as 1 rare. In the special packs in which the super rare is wrapped in gold, the rare card is a super rare instead; either way though, you will always end up with at least 1 rare card in every single Naruto booster pack.

In the end though, the Naruto booster packs are a must have for anyone irregardless of whether they are choosing to collect the cards or play the game. For many fans though, the best route to go is to start by collecting as many cards as possible, and then using the doubles for the actual game play. Naruto Starter Deck Information

The Naruto trading card game was initially released in Japan back in 2003 and since its release there has been more then 17 series or sets of cards introduced; each set has its own starter deck as well as booster packs. There have been more then 417 unique cards in all introduced, of which only 10 of the sets have been made available on the North American continent with the remaining still only available in Japan.

Of course after getting your Naruto starter deck, you will need to regularly get booster packs so as to make sure that you are able to get all of the cards that have been made available. And while there are some really great cards that come in every Naruto starter deck, for the super rare cards you will have to pick up the booster packs because roughly 1 out of every 6 of the booster packs contain one super rare card. So collect all of the cards for every single set and you will have not just an excellent collector’s item, but you will have a great deck from which to challenge other people. There are after all, 417 cards in all available; some of which can only be bought in Japan.

There are the troop cards for which there are four different ones used in the game. These four different troop PK cards include the Henchmen, Allies, Legends as well as the Champions. In the game, some of the cards need other cards in order to be used. Henchmen for example can be used on their own, but Ally PK cards need a Henchman, while the Legend cards need one of both in order to be used.

To play the game, you need to pick your deck. Your deck can be any number of possible options which includes yellow, red, etcetera. In game play, you will use your rare PK cards to combat an opponent in 7 distinct rounds of combat. The winner of the rounds then goes on to win the match. Each match won increases prestige points while losses decrease the points. Once one player has managed to reach the pre-set goal, the game is considered to be over and the person who reached the goal first is the winner.

In the end, there can be only one who is victorious. It is up to you to play your rare PK cards just right to allow you to win as many rounds of combat and matches that you possibly can. Your ultimate goal is to be victorious, and while you may think that this is something easy to accomplish, once you sit down with some friends and play a game, you will realize that with PK cards, you can have a lot of fun that will last for a very long time.

What Comes In A PK Booster Pack?

As with any trading card game, PK booster packs include more randomly selected cards. While these basic core sets also include some random cards, they do not include all of the cards that you need to make a full set. Through time and patience, you can slowly make sure that you have the entire deck that you are in need of to become a true PK: The Broken Seal champion.

In every PK booster pack, you will get several randomly selected cards. These will not be visible until the pack is opened up in order to make it fairer to everyone. We do not want people going around and knowing where the right cards are in order to build an unbeatable deck now do we? Since the core starter packs come with a large selection of a particular tribe deck, we can begin to play immediately. However, in order to build an unstoppable deck of PK cards that will allow us to dominate any game, we need the PK booster packs. In them, you ill find a selection of cards. Some may be doubles or even triples of the ones you already have, but every once and a while you will come across a card which is definitely rare and unique. It is when you add these cards to your game deck that you will be able to become a true PK cards champion.

What Comes In A Core Deck?

What this means, is that when you pick up a PK core deck, you can immediately play one on one battles. Unlike other trading card games whose core decks are only designed for one person, in the game of PK cards, two players can make use of a single PK core deck since there are two Avatars available.

This means that as soon as you pick up a PK core deck, or give one away as a gift, the combat can begin almost immediately. There is no need to wait for another player to get their own PK core deck. This just means that with each PK core deck, you can truly have a more enjoyable time.

There is more fun and excitement involved when you choose to start playing the PK trading card game. Of course you will need to learn about the many different and highly advanced rules associated with game play versus other similar games, but each PK core deck also comes complete with the rules book amongst many other great things that you need in order to have fun immediately.

There are a lot of rules and technicalities, so it’s best if you’re interested in playing to buy a core deck. The newest four are for Red (fire), Yellow (earth), Gray (metal), and Blue (water). Sorry wood, no love for you this time, but don’t fret! Creatures of all elements are featured in every deck. Now, the core decks are fun, but like any card player could tell you, the real fun comes in constructing your own deck and going at it. We played a couple matches, only playing the first set of 7 sorties so we’d get the hang of the game. The joys of the core decks is that they come with two Avatars, both designed to work with the deck, so two players can use the same one.
