Gormiti Toys: The Invincible Lords of Nature Overview

Known simply as Gormiti toys, Gormiti: The Invincible Lords of Nature is a mini figurine base trading game. It was in 2005 when Gormiti toys were first introduced by an Italian company. Since those days though, this particular trading game has increasingly become a popular choice around the globe. Feeling like your Lionel train set is getting out of date? The core of the Gormiti toys is a non-posable PVC figurine which has been intricately detailed and painted. They are only 2 inches tall, but as we are always told, the biggest things come in the smallest of packages. With these small figurines, you can have hours of fun playing this exciting game. Each figurine has a number from 1 to 9 printed on its foot and comes complete with a corresponding card. The cards also have their own set values and in playing the game, as always the higher number always wins the battle.

In most locations, the figurines are sold in blind boxes and come wrapped in foil so that when you purchase a new piece, there is no telling what you are getting. This is very important when it comes to trading card games because if you could see the pieces, then all of the good ones would be long gone before you had a chance to stop by the store.

There are a number of different Gormiti toys play sets to choose from that includes lava, forest, earth, air and even sea. Each figurine has its own distinct advantages and disadvantages within a given play are which further adds to the game play. Some of the figurines even come complete with magnetic parts, sounds, lights and even projectile launchers.

The game itself follows a story line in that on a distant Island a long time in the past, peaceful and very loving people lived in harmony. The island’s name is Gorm and one day the lush green island turned to black and became a desolate place. Out from the charred earth, strange creatures arose and were made of the lava. Led by their ruler Magmion, they went to destroy and consume the souls of Gorm.

For some time, the Lava creatures ruled Gorm but without any people or enemies, their powers became weaker and Magmion was forced to return to the Volcano and plan his rise again. In the mean time, The Old Sage who had mourned the loss of the people planned too. It was not long before he turned to the forces of nature to recreate civilization in Gorm which was composed of the people of the earth, of the forest, of the sea as well as of the air. They were all friends until the day that Magmion returned. To ensure his victory, he cast a spell on the tribes causing them to distrust one another and to fight for control over Gorm.

The future of Gorm is in your hands when you play the Gormiti toys game. Will Magmion and the lava tribe win, with the people of the earth or forest win, or will it be the people of the sea or air. The choice is up to you and the epic battle ill be in your hands. Choose your sides wisely as you match up against friends who are in command of their own tribes of warriors to determine who will control the island of Gorm forever.
