Based on the ever popular movies, the Star Wars Miniatures have increasingly become a very popular game. These are a highly collectible miniature tabletop game that was originally released back in 2004. Using point based building systems which are a simplified version of the D20 RPG system, each player builds up points and conducts battles between one another. There are a number of maps and just as many sets and themes to choose from which makes every single game slightly different.
It was back in 2004 when Star Wars Miniatures was first introduced. This first version was known as the Rebel Storm. After the game grew in popularity by both collectors as well as RPG enthusiasts, the following year the Clone Strike would be introduced. This was then followed by the Revenge of the Sith along with a Universe expansion set. By 2006, the Champions of the Force were released and later that year was followed by Bounty Hunters. The end of 2006 saw the introduction of Starship Battles, but it would not be until the following year that the 30th Anniversary set would be introduced.
Today there are many different sets to choose from, each just as unique and enjoyable to play as the next. Sit down with some friends and battle it out RPG style or start your own personal collection of Star Wars memorabilia when you choose to get the Star Wars Miniatures. If you can get your hands on one of the first 3 sets, then you will be in luck because these sets come complete with a book known as the Ultimate Missions and have many different scenarios and maps to choose from.
As each new set was released though, it would also be accompanied with possible scenarios drawn from the episode it was based on. With 6 different Star Wars episodes, the possible choices for a fun and very exciting game are numerous. Unfortunately though, even with the 2006 Attack on Endor set being released along with an All Terrain Scout Transport, no Ewoks were to be seen. We can only hope that these fuzzy little creatures will be able to join into the battles as well.
Step into the excitement in a galaxy far, far away when you choose to pick up the Start Wars Miniatures game sets today. You will have a lot of fun sitting around with your friends taking turns battling one another from the dark-side or with the force.
